November 2008Text Messaging interface with TetraFlex GMG Solutions announces a new development for sending Text Messages to Tetra Terminals via DAMM's TetraFlex Tetra network.
The SNPP (Simple Network Paging Protocol) interface implemented into DAMM’s TetraFlex provides multiple paging vendors with the access to send text messages to Tetra terminals. TetraFlex operators can now send job descriptions and critical alarms messages directly to their staff all via a computer based paging systems.
Geoff Wood from GMG Solutions says the development of this interface was relatively simple because TetraFlex has a freely available Application Programming Interface (API) and that SNPP is an open standard used by all major paging system vendors.
