Connect your Analogue, Marine or Airband radio to TETRA using our new IP based Interoperable gateway

 

GMG Solutions, utilising DAMM's flexible API program have developed a direct connection from the TetraFlex® digital trunking system and Omnitronics IPR100/400 series gateways.

 

This Radio over IP gateway provides interoperability between analogue radio systems and TETRA's digital technology. With this direct IP connection from the IPR100/400 and TetraFlex®, minimal delay in call setup times are acheived. Analogue and TETRA users are unaware that they are communicating on two different technologies. Management can select the desired TETRA talkgroup to attach and communicate with the appropriate analogue radio channel.

Omnitronics IPR100 gateway is a single analogue port device. The rack mounted IPR400 is delivered with 4-port configuration and is stackable allowing up to 32-ports to be configured. The gateways can be used as standalone Radio Interface Unit (RIU) with connection to TetraFlex® or form part of larger communications system with integration into dispatch consoles and other custom applications.

                 

 

With this development TetraFlex® can also connect direct to Omnitronics DX64 Radio Dispatch Console. The DX64 radio dispatch systems essentially control and monitor communications between mobile personnel and dispatch console operators. Console operators can select the desired TETRA Talkgroup to communicate with, plus monitor other Tetra or analogue user channels.

 

TetraFlex® links to the DX64 dispatch console via Omnitronics IPE card. Each IPE enables operators to access up to 4 tetra talkgroups. Organisation can install the quantity of IPEs’ required to manage talkgroup numbers. The total number of capable talkgroups the system can monitor will depend on each customer’s requirements.
