The EADS 800 MHz ATEX terminal provides the Australian petrochemical industry with immediate access to TETRA, today’s leading radio communications technology. Combined with the deployable and flexible TetraFlex® infrastructure from DAMM, Tetra is now ready to replace aging analogue systems for organisations where intrinsic safety is paramount.

 

The THR880i Ex hand held portable is a robust, Intrinsically Safe radio. The radio combines certification for operation in explosion-prone areas with the user-friendliness, solid design and advanced features of the i-range products from EADS.

 

It is designed for safe and reliable communication in places where inflammable substances are produced, processed, transported or stored, such as chemical and petrochemical industries, oil and natural gas production, as well as rigs and harbours.
