Harbour Town Shopping Centre chooses Tetra Technology

Harbour Town on the Gold Coast has chosen a TETRA digital radio system from Damm Cellular Systems and Sepura portable radio terminals. TetraFlex^® infrastructure is matched with the new STP8000 series terminals with off site security monitoring via a dedicated IP network providing customer and staff safety.

The TETRA system has replaced the ineffective conventional radio equipment, offering secure digital trunking technology for centre management and site contractors. Radio uses will initially be offered standard operational features including Push-To-Talk (PTT) multiple group call dispatch, secure communications, private radio to radio calls and SMS text style messaging.

Future TetraFlex^® integration capabilities for the centre will include alarm dispatch messaging, full duplex telephony integration to centre PBX and individual user location monitoring to ensure a safer more efficient working environment for staff and contractors.
